Dr. Rikin Patel is a Pediatrician and a board certified Lifestyle Medicine physician. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Toronto and completed his pediatric residency at Memorial University of Newfoundland.
Currently, Dr. Patel works for the Scarborough Health Network and founded Reset Pediatrics in June of 2023. He has completed the Plant Based Certificate program through the T Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies at Cornell University.
Dr. Patel has worked with numerous families and is passionate about giving children and their families the best fuel for their wellbeing to maximize their potential. He is a certified yoga instructor (RYT 200, 2019) and teaches Shaolin Kung Fu at the Waterloo Kung Fu Academy with over 30 years of experience.
Liana Morgan is a Registered Social Worker with over 10 years of experience providing support in the community to adults and youth experiencing substance use and mental health crises.
Liana obtained her Masters of Social Work education from the University of Toronto, where she specialized in health and mental health.
Her anti-oppressive approach to social work practice is rooted in her lived experience as a person of colour and in the undergraduate Social Work education she received from York University.
Jothi Ramesh, M.A, RSW is a Social Worker/Psychotherapist based in Toronto. She has over 25 years of experience as a therapist and has expertise in trauma-informed care.
Jothi takes an eclectic approach to her therapy, using multiple approaches, including (but not limited to) psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness meditation, somatic therapy, sensorimotor psychotherapy, and brainspotting. These approaches have greatly benefited clients with trauma, depression and anxiety symptoms.
Jothi has extensive experience working with LGBTQ communities and uses an anti-oppressive and social justice framework.
Lauren McNeill is a plant-based registered dietitian and cookbook author of The Simple Vegan Kitchen. She holds a Master's of Public Health in Nutrition with a specialization in women's health. Lauren is passionate about helping families by sharing easy and approachable plant-based recipes that are nourishing while still being delicious.
Julie Romanowski is an educated, trained and certified Early Childhood Consultant and renowned Parenting Coach who specializes in children’s behaviour and discipline.
With over 25 years of experience working directly with children, parents, and families from around the world in a variety of settings, Julie has been working in private practice for the last 11 years.
Julie helps parents learn how to RESPOND positively to children's negative outbursts, stress, anxiety, defiance and aggression. She is excellent at teaching parents key skills and techniques to understand and enjoy raising their children.
Julie is a mother, coach, leader, educator, author, speaker & founder of Miss Behaviour: parenting coach & consultant services.
Eva Klein is a Certified Infant and Child Sleep Consultant based in Toronto. Her main goal is to help families establish healthy sleep habits for their children.
After experiencing the debilitating effects of chronic sleep deprivation after the birth of her middle child, she was inspired to help families overcome their sleep challenges.
Eva truly empathizes with her clients’ sleep troubles and personally invests herself in their sleep journey.
In addition to completing her sleep consulting certification, she is a member of the Association of Professional Sleep Consultants and she completed the 2016 Infant Mental Health Community Training through the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
Eva also has her Bachelor of Arts from York University and her law degree from the University of Western Ontario.
Alisha Morgan is a Pediatric Physical Therapist and Certified Professional Coach who helps her clients and their families design realistic health and wellness goals, harness their strengths to overcome challenges, and go beyond what they would do on their own.
Alisha has been operating her life coaching practice since 2015. She also has 18 years of experience as a physical therapist, working with children and families in hospital and private clinic settings.
Alisha received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto and received her professional coaching certification through the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching.
Drawing on her clinical and coaching experience, Alisha believes in the importance of a holistic approach to health, rather than focusing exclusively on physical conditions. In her coaching practice, she applies a whole person view of health and wellbeing to help empower her clients.
Making changes can sometimes be difficult, even when someone wants to change. As a wellness coach, Alisha encourages clients and collaborates with them to address the habits they wish to change. She also supports clients with implementing recommendations made by their healthcare practitioners, including other members of the Reset Paediatric Lifestyle Medicine team.
Shehla Khan is a certified Yoga Therapist with over 15 years of experience teaching yoga asana, philosophy, and therapy. Along with public classes, workshops, private classes, and outreach programs, she also teaches yoga philosophy and yoga therapy.
Shehla is also a faculty member of George Brown College for the classical yoga teacher training certificate program.
Presently, most of Shehla’s teachings are informed by field experience in serving racialized families from African, Black, Caribbean, Latin, and South Asian communities, where she offers yoga classes and one-on-one yoga therapy at community health clinics and hospitals.
Shifu Jing is a 34th generation Shaolin Warrior Monk and a master teacher of Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Qi Gong meditation.
He was born in rural China and among the select few chosen to live in the Shaolin Temple at age 9. After many years of practice, he was invited to travel the globe and went on the Shaolin Temple’s world tour for 6 years.
He is based in Toronto and is keen to help children and families improve their health through the transformative potential of martial arts.
Palakh Chhabria is the Operations Manager for RESET Pediatric Lifestyle Medicine and is based in Toronto. Her experience includes working in strategy and finance for startups as well as large corporations.
Transitioning to a plant-based diet transformed Palakh’s health and ignited in her a keen interest in lifestyle medicine and wellness. Through RESET, she is excited to help bring to life a revolution in the pediatric health landscape.
